Road conditions ensure that overland travel in Afghanistan is always an adventure. Most roads in Afghanistan would be better described as mountain jeep tracks. The obvious drawback is that it takes time to travel relatively short distances, but we ensure that the slower pace of travel will be compensated by the stunning mountain views, Afghan hospitality, and vibrant village life. Travel in Afghanistan is not just about the destination, but also about the adventure in the journey.
On our jeep tours we operate vehicles designed for the rugged off-road conditions found in Afghanistan. These vehicles are maintained in excellent condition and driven by experienced field drivers. Expect to travel in a Nissan Patrol Safari or similar vehicle. Although the roads are rugged our vehicles are comfortable and come equipped with air conditioning and radio/CD players.
